Convert recordings of interviews and conversations into text. Tratt offers automatic transcription of speech recordings in Swedish and other languages. Your recording never leaves your computer while the transcription is being performed in Tratt.

Språkbanken offers a rich range of advanced research platforms that you can use to explore its research data.
Explore text
Search text collections (corpora). In Korp, you can see how a word occurs across different texts. You can also generate statistics, word pictures, and trend charts showing how the frequency of a word has changed over time.
Compare texts. In Strix, you work with complete documents rather than individual words. You can search for and compare words and expressions, and study similarities and differences between documents.
Explore sign language
Find Swedish sign Language equivalents for civic and public sector terminology. Samhällsordlistan contains Swedish terms and concepts along with their equivalents in Swedish sign Language.
Search sign language dictionaries. Falk is our sign language platform, providing access to a sign language dictionary and a sign language corpus.
Explore cultural heritage and dialects
Explore folk culture and dialects. In Folke, you will find historical narratives in both text and speech.
Listen to historical dialects. Dialektkartan contains older dialect recordings from across Sweden.
Explore Nordic legends. Sägenkartan contains legends from Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
Explore lexicons
Search lexicons. In Karp, you can search multiple lexicons simultaneously and compare their contents. For example, you can access many editions of the Svenska Akademiens ordlista (SAOL). Together with the Swedish Academy, we also develop new editions of the contemporary Swedish dictionaries SAOL and SO, which are available through services such as svenska.se.
Look up words in minority languages. Search resources such as the Yiddish–Swedish Dictionary, the Meänkieli–Swedish Dictionary, and Lexin, a multilingual lexicon covering around twenty languages.
Find the right term. Rikstermbanken contains terminology from a wide range of subject areas.

A gateway to European research infrastructure
Språkbanken is also part of CLARIN, a European research infrastructure that supports language-based research. Through CLARIN, researchers gain access to digital language resources and tools from across Europe. CLARIN provides language resources for a wide range of languages through the Virtual Language Observatory (VLO), as well as through thematic resource families that organize different types of language resources and research tools.
